The Station alarm clock was designed for H.J. Hansen, manager of Lauritz Knudsen, who saw potential in Arne Jacobsen as a young architect in 1939. Arne Jacobsen’s designs signaled the dawn of Scandinavian minimalism. As an architect and industrial designer, Jacobsen always strove to achieve grace and cohesion. Starting with the functional purpose, which led to radically simplified designs with an inherent beauty.
