Natural Connolly CB Blanket
The Iconic Connolly CB Blanket is woven using a weft dominant reversible weave structure. The warp yarn is a fine 100% non mulesed wool supporting yarn, while the weft is a 2 ply lambswool cashmere blend that is almost double the thickness of the warp. This construction allows for our strong graphic motif to be created with minimal influence/interference of the warp (resulting in strong, almost pure colour from the weft)
The cloth is 90% Lambswool 10% Cashmere. The wool is 17 micron, and the cashmere 15 micron – finest noble quality fibres, expertly blended with our spinning partners who are considered ‘best in class.’

The finish, combined with the composition is perfect for blankets – robust, with the longevity of wool, but soft and luxurious with the touch of cashmere. A truly sustainable and considered item.Â
The cloth goes through 11 production processes. Starting from warping, weaving, greasy inspection/mending. It is then scoured ( washed in Soft Scottish water) and milled in traditional 100 year old milling stocks.
The cloth gets a gentle raise to add softness to the finish.
It is dried and set on the tenter, before being pressed. Lastly, it is hand inspected, hand cut, and hand finished with a whip stitch on all 4 sides. The corners of our CB whipped blankets are always finished by hand.
